Course Details
Registration information for the Las Vegas NV USSF D Course through Nevada Youth Soccer Association. This course will be held in Las Vegas, NV.

 

This course is a mandatory two (2) weekend, Friday night through Sunday afternoon commitment.

 

Start Mon., September 27th- Weeks 1-5 virtual self-study

 

The first D meeting weekend to be Fri, Sat & Sun October 29-31st 2021 (end of week #5)

 

Nov. 1st-20th- Weeks 6-8 virtual self-study

Nov 22-26th off for Thanksgiving

Nov. 29- Dec. 9th-Weeks 8-10 virtual self-study

 

The second D meeting weekend to be Fri, Sat & Sun December 10-12th (end of week # 10)

 

Thursday Dec. 16th- Week 11- Final course webinar for D course completion

 

****The USSF D Course has a new format for 2021. The two weekends required to obtain the license must be a minimum of 10 weeks apart. This enhances the learning environment and allows for candidates to spend time involved in practical on-field coaching within their own training environment prior to returning to complete the second weekend including testing. It also adds time for a mentorship component with the staff instructors.

 

Second weekend's dates are December 10th-12th

 

PLEASE NOTE, there are three pre-requisites that must be fulfilled in order to enroll in this USSF "D" course:

 

1. You must have completed and passed the USSF "E" course and held it for six months. 

-or-

2. You must have completed three grassroots courses, two of which were live, any other could be online.

- 3. You must be at least 18 years of age.

Nevada Youth Soccer offers this course in a new blended format in order to provide a preeminent educational experience while exercising caution during the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Course Details:

The 11v11 In-Person Course is a four-hour course that builds on the principles covered in U.S. Soccer’s Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module. Specifically, coaches will learn more about U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players aged 13-18. The course will also ask each coach to reflect on their experiences to develop action steps for personal growth in the Six Tasks (Coaching Games, Coaching Training Sessions, Leading the Team, Leading the Player, Managing the Performance Environment, and Leadership).

 

Coaches will be asked to participate in discussions so each person must have access to a web-camera/live video capabilities. Coaches may be asked to participate in the field component as either coaches or players, so please come prepared to actively learn.

9v9 Grassroots

Registration closes at 11:59 pm on Sunday, September 19, 2021, or when the course sells out, whichever occurs first.
