Welcome to the National Championship Series (NVS) – Nevada State Cup
This page will keep you updated on all the news and information you will need to participate in our States top honor for teams. The winner of the State Cup will represent Nevada in the Region IV finals in Seattle Washington. State Cup runners up will represent Nevada in the Presidents Cup held in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Stage One – Qualification League
In order to be eligible for the NCS State Cup finals, you must compete in the State Cup League. The leagues will run from January – April 2017. The top three teams from the league will move on to the finals Weekend, May 13 – 14, 2017. The forth place team may challenge the top team from northern Nevada in the Challenge weekend on April 29-30, 2017. Teams will play two games. The team with the winning aggregate score will play in the forth spot in the finals weekend. If the team from the North wins, they will take the 3rd seed. If the team from the south wins, they will take the 4th seed.
Stage Two – Finals Weekend
Teams that have qualified for the finals weekend will be required to pay additional fees to cover the cost of providing the finals weekend tournament. Four teams will compete in a semi-final game on Saturday. The winners will meet in a final on Sunday. The two semi-final losing teams will meet in a third and fourth place game.
Winners of Stage Two are invited to play in the Region IV finals held in Seattle Washington June 19 – 25, 2017. Runner-up teams are invited to play in the Region IV President’s Cup in Salt Lake City Utah June 12-18, 2017. Nevada Youth Soccer Association is proud to sponsor the entry fees to our winners and runners up in regional competition.
Winners of the Region IV events are invited to play in the National Finals. The National Championship Series will be held in Frisco, Texas on July 24-30, 2017. The National Presidents Cup Finals will be held in Auburndale, FL on July 12-16, 2017.
